Huurre's Fanfiction Reading Log
Effortless fanfiction tracking
Hox! Version 2.0 is still in progress, but it should see the daylight within the first two weeks of September!
Do you always try to find something to read, yet find yourself all to often coming up empty-handed? Do you feel lost sometimes with the multiple marked for later in Archive of Our Own without an option to filter them? Have you ever been deep into a story, only to realize with a sinking feeling that you've already traversed these words a few months back?
I go by Huurre online, and I had these feelings all the time, until I started to think about some kind of solution at the end of 2023. I tried to find fanfiction reading tracker which would be nice visually and would be as easy as possible, but I couldn’t. I decided to do it by myself. When I started this, I knew how to do basic things in Google Sheets. I’ve taught myself all the things I’ve done with this.
I published first version of the reading log at the start of March 2024, I fixed some bugs in the updates, but I had something bigger in my mind. On June 2024 I decided to start playing around, tried Apps Scripts for the first time ever and realised it answered to almost all of my problems. This led to the relentless development of version 2.0 and, eventually, the birth of this website. Here users are greeted with a central hub for all things related to the log: instructions, download links and updates.
I invite you to explore the Fanfiction Reading Log, a tool designed with the voracious reader in mind. It boasts expansive statistics, seamless automations, and an interface that's as pleasing to the eye as it is functional.

I'm 27 years old guy from Finland. My heart beats to fanfiction, writing and my work, customer service. Well, one of the things I can promise is that if you ever send me an email needing any help, I am pretty fast to reply as long as I'm not sleeping or in the middle of situation where I cannot reply.
My ultimate favourite fandom is Harry Potter. My favourite fanfic length is "the longer, the better". 50 000 words is just a quick snack. 400 000 words - finally something I can read for a few days before needing to find something else to read. I also write some huge fanfic projects, although at the moment they are not available in English, but it's in progress!
I'm creative person with AuDHD. I have constant need to do something all the time and often it's something creative. I'm that kind of person who sits down with paper and tape if there's a pause in the meeting.
